INTRODUCTION

Hi, I’m Fred Birdling. I am married with two school age daughters at home and five grandchildren to boot. I have escaped the corporate grind to now run an online business. The transformation for my family and I has been nothing short of incredible.

We live in the ‘Naki (New Plymouth, Taranaki) where we have set up a fantastic lifestyle for ourselves and our daughters. We are a brief walk from the beach – our girls love the water, the walkways and bike trails and of course there is our gorgeous mountain. We love all the new adventures and having the freedom to enjoy it all with them.

Whilst I have absolutely no regrets about my years in the corporate world, I just wish I had known that my present business was there waiting for me years ago.

I now feel so fortunate to get to share this powerful self-employment opportunity with others and support them on their business journey.

THE PROBLEMS THAT LEAD ME HERE

In the corporate world I was tied into a system that dictated my daily timetable, governed my responses and primarily had me cornered into a routine that whilst ‘safe’ was somewhat mind numbing. I deserved more – both for myself and my family.

The frustrations, career blockages, increasing administrative and non-productive time, the diminishing returns of both income and satisfaction all became the catalyst that encouraged me to look outside my usual career comfort go-to’s. I took off that corporate tie (literally!) and I determined that there had to be something better out there for me.

MY SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT BUSINESS SOLUTION

I researched a number of ‘career’ options that could give me the income and freedom that I believed I deserved. As a consequence, I found a number of niches that I could easily fit into but they all lacked that certain something, that excitement, sense of fulfilment satisfaction and were perhaps just another version of what I already had.

I recall discussing my desires (or wishful thinking maybe) with a close friend and that same evening saw an advertisement on social media that became the first step in my amazing new journey that has already ticked all my boxes. I took it as a sign that the world was ready for the re-invented ‘me’.

I made the powerful decision to go for it, and I’ve been truly surprised at the opportunities my new business presents. And equally surprised and pleased that so much about my new business has resonated with the past, present and future me.

I love the portability of my new venture and the fact that I can operate from wherever I may be whilst enjoying increased family and friends time, travel and an elevated income of course. This is something that I always promised myself but was never able to achieve.
